Acne scarring is tough to treat. It totally depends on how much scarring you have. Are there deep pits? Are there fibrous lumps? Chemical peels (like glycolic acid) actually remove a deeper layer than microdermabrasion. If you want to go the microdermabrasion route, you can have a procedure performed every 10 days without risk of damage to your skin. Choose a crystal-free, diamond-tipped system with suction. In my opinion they provide the best results.
As I said though, glycolic peels may work best for you. Some medical spas even offer a take home kit (we do!) so you can do maintenance between your peels.
A more drastic and expensive procedure is laser skin resurfacing. But even then, there are no guarantees to give you a smooth, scar-free complexion. Can microdermabrasion remove my acne scars? I've got a ton!?
unblemish by Rodan and fields is a wonderful acne fighting product. It comes with a 60 day supply and helps with acne scarring and pock marks. They also have a microdermabrasion paste but it really helps with cleaning your skin, and removesthe dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. www.rodanandfields.com/jallanCan microdermabrasion remove my acne scars? Yes, if you get a series of treatments by a professional. In my area, they cost about $65 each but some places allow you to buy a package at a slight discount. Skins feels great afterwards, too!
yeah it might help a little bit... try using marykay ance treatment gel, and the microdermabrasion!
