Baking Soda For Acne Scars?

I've read that baking soda can effectively exfoliate skin and reduce acne scarring, is it true or will it just damage my skin?Baking Soda For Acne Scars?
Baking soda is basic, your skin is meant to be acidic. While it is a pretty good exfoliant, it will gradually wear down your skin's defenses.

Scars take time to go away, I would know, regular exfoliation will help by taking the top layer of skin off but, depending on their severity, it may take months for them to fade.

I like to use aspirin instead. You take a pill, if it is coated, run it under water and rub the coating off, if it is uncoated, it will go faster, just dissolve it in a tiny bit of water until the tablet breaks into small pieces and use it on your skin. Aspirin is great because it is anti-inflammatory! Exfoliate every 2-3 days, very very gently, in winter, in the summer you can space it out a bit more.

About above post: yes aspirin ';masks'; reduce inflammation and redness but don't use them too often because they dry out your skin. Keep it on for 10 minutes...Also, aspirin is not salicylic acid...Baking Soda For Acne Scars?
Sounds interesting I'll give it a try. I've always put 5 generic plain aspirin (salicylic acid) in a cap, added a small amount of warm water to make a paste and applied that on my face for about 3 mins. If you leave it on any longer, it will get up your nose and make you sneeze. Your face will feel baby soft and it will exfoliate, heal, and reduce redness of acne.
