I'll tell you one thing, don't try one of those procedures like microdermabrasion. I have a friend who is so cute. She managed to clear up her acne completely with that stuff Jessica Simpson endorses, but she complained about acne scars. I didn't see anything, like I said she's a beautiful girl. So she started going to this doctor and getting this procedure, and spending all of this money on it. This was last June. Suddenly her acne came back full force, I mean worse than ever. The stuff she was using didn't even work anymore. To this day, a year later, she still has it severe. It's very sad. She's still a knockout but is extremely self conscious about it. I would suggest vitamin E, taken orally, flax oil and flax seeds, taken orally, vitamin C, applied topically.
You need to see a specialist, they are the best people to recommend creams to suit your purpose. Today there are thousands of creams out there for acne so i guess it's just finding out which is the best quality and which one is the best for you skin and your price range.

Yes...I had a number of pock marks on my forehead from the time I was a teenager to my early 20's. They were very noticable, however over the years and having a number of treatments ranging from facials to micro-dermabrasion...I have pretty smooth, healthy skin now. If you have scars that are more severe, there are more aggressive options also that will reduce the scarring that was left behind from acne. I tried it just a little and it worked. I can barely see the scar now. I don't have acne just a few flaws on my face. Call it divine intervention or luck for it not getting infected. Natural way of getting rid of acne and ance scars?
i have the perfect method to get rid of ur acne [i now have a clear complexion and im soo glad my strategy worked. it took 1 week to work! now clear skin!]. first i'll tell you some info. acne is caused by hormonal imbalance. so to get rid of it you must do things that help you internally, and a little bit of external . now...
you MUST do all these steps.
1. buy this multivitamin from walmart [generic brand of women's one a day]. it contains zinc, vitamin a, b, c, e. these are all good for the skin. and it calms down the hormone levels too, and cleans out the system.
2. this part is really important too! buy green tea bags [or the green tea loose leaves]. dont get the nestle or lipton or w/e its called tea. make sure they dont add sugar or other crap in it. green tea is great for acne b/c it balances hormone levels detoxifies the system. it clears up the complexion also. yes, most green tea has caffeine which isnt good for acne. so put a green tea bag in a cup of water and leave for 1 min [this is de-caffeinating it] then rinse out cup and fill it up with hot drinking water and put the bag in. at first you may not be used to drinking tea, so drink 2 cups of tea the first few days. then increase the amount of cups you drink until you have 5-6 cups of tea a day. trust me, green tea is the answer! after doing this you will love green tea and you'll probly substitute it with water.
3. at the end of each day when you're done with the green tea, run cold water through the green tea bag, then place on face if you have any inflammation of the skin. hold it against the inflammation for as long as you can- the longer the better. it relieves the redness well. but only doing green tea externally isnt good enough so make sure you do it internally too! [#2]
4. in the middle of the week, in the shower make sure you exfoliate your skin. dont be rough with your skin when exfoliating. you dont want to make your skin more inflamed. exfoliating is helpful b/c it opens up pores while cleaning them out. it helps a lot with clogged pores [bumps that are just THERE to annoy us]
5. at the end of each week, right after the shower [make sure its RIGHT after, when your pores are still open from the hotness] apply queen helene's mint julep masque onto face. it shrinks pores, dries up pimples, smooths out skin and rinses away blackheads. it really makes your skin feel so soft!
6. make sure you are using a toner or astringent. a good one is witch hazel. companies always put it in cleansers b/c it is really good at eliminating extra oil without over-drying. witch hazel is found near the alcohol section in stores like target, etc.
7. also make sure to have a moisturizer with spf 15 or higher. if it has no spf 15, the sun will darken acne scars. i use olay complete all day moisture lotion with spf 15.
8. change pillow case every two or three days. make sure phones are clean.
crap, i forgot about the aloe vera plant . it should be around #4 or 5.
if you ever have a popped pimple, apply aloe vera. [cut off a leaf and squeeze out juice and apply on skin] it will heal it in 1-2 days, depending on how often you put it on throughout the day. its really effective and regenerates new skin cell growth 10 x faster than it takes for the body to do so. they have aloe vera in almost every nursey like orchard supply or home depot, etc.
if you use a concealer or make up, make sure it is non-comodogenic. this means it doesnt clog pores . im pretty sure i didnt spell it right, ahah. cuhz yeah. clogged pores suck. so dont use makeup that clogs pores cuhz clogged pores can turn into pimples.

Hello. My name's Emily and I've had acne for the last 2 years. I've learned by experience that acne comes from the inside, so that is how it needs to be treated. I used to use Proactiv and Clean and Clear, but they just dried out my skin. What you need to do is EAT HEALTHY. Red meat, salty/sweet foods, all dairy except yogurt, spicy foods, raw onions, fried foods, oily foods and pop are some foods that can cause acne. I was all sad when I first read this, but when I stopped eating these things (and other foods that are hard to digest because if the food just sits there, bacteria come and eat it, releasing toxins that can affect the skin), I noticed a big difference! I rarely break out, and if I do, it's only one or two pimples at a time. Not the huge, 10 pimple at a time break outs a used to have. It takes a llittle while to see the difference, but it's well worth the wait. If you really want to speed up the process, I recommend using Clinique's 3 step skin thing, but only use the soap. if you ever have a popped pimple, apply aloe vera. [cut off a leaf and squeeze out juice and apply on skin] it will heal it in 1-2 days, depending on how often you put it on throughout the day. its really effective and regenerates new skin cell growth 10 x faster than it takes for the body to do so. they have aloe vera in almost every nursey like orchard supply or home depot, etc.
if you use a concealer or make up, make sure it is non-comodogenic. this means it doesnt clog pores . im pretty sure i didnt spell it right, ahah. cuhz yeah. clogged pores suck. so dont use makeup that clogs pores cuhz clogged pores can turn into pimples.

for the acne make a face wash of baking soda, witch hazel, salt, %26amp; honey (all under $1 if you dont have them). wash your face with this morning %26amp; night. you can also apply it directly to the spots %26amp; leave it on as a mask once in a while

Hello. My name's Emily and I've had acne for the last 2 years. I've learned by experience that acne comes from the inside, so that is how it needs to be treated. I used to use Proactiv and Clean and Clear, but they just dried out my skin. What you need to do is EAT HEALTHY. Red meat, salty/sweet foods, all dairy except yogurt, spicy foods, raw onions, fried foods, oily foods and pop are some foods that can cause acne. I was all sad when I first read this, but when I stopped eating these things (and other foods that are hard to digest because if the food just sits there, bacteria come and eat it, releasing toxins that can affect the skin), I noticed a big difference! I rarely break out, and if I do, it's only one or two pimples at a time. Not the huge, 10 pimple at a time break outs a used to have. It takes a llittle while to see the difference, but it's well worth the wait. If you really want to speed up the process, I recommend using Clinique's 3 step skin thing, but only use the soap. if you want a home remedy try washing your face with Chamomile tea , it dosent have to bee hot , just boil it and wait until is not too hot and wash your face 3 times a day , if you want to exfoliate your face while boiling try to get the vapor on your face until you sweet do this for about 5 min then rinse with the water this really cleans and exfoliates your skin, also tomatoes and carrots are good for skin discolorations,,, the best thing if the scars are too deep go see a dermatologist ,, and good luck.............

1. Cocoa butter is used for both preventing stretch marks and treating them. If the weight gain is due to pregnancy, the cocoa butter should be rubbed daily on the affected area. Cocoa butter should be applied to the skin soon after a warm water bath, when the pores are open and the cocoa butter is easily absorbed. Shea butter may also be used instead of cocoa butter.
2. A mixture of olive oil and herbs or olive oil can be applied daily to the skin to treat stretch marks. Castor oil could be used to make them fade.
3. Vitamin E oil or cream can be applied to the skin in the affected areas, every day . The cream should be applied overnight. Taking Vitamin E capsules also helps to reduce the stretch marks. Some people break the capsules and apply the oil directly on the scars or stretch marks.

I really love my Bare Minerals. It all depends on your application. The whole concept behind the mineral makeup is that you can buff on as little or as much as you want. i had a bad case of acne growing up and it left me with moderate scaring.. I 'm a handsome guy who still dates but i feel like this has ruined my chances of being all i can be,,before i wouldnt have trouble approaching a really hot girl and now its hard just to talk to average looking girls and I still feel insecure....

You can go to a dermotologist and get the scars minimized, but you should also look inside and realize that its your insecurities that are hurting your relationships, not your actual physical problems.
There is so much emphasis put on the physical and not nearly enough put on ';who'; we are inside.
You might want to spend some time volunteering for a cause that you feel strongly about. It will get you out of yourself for a while and give you the sense that YOU can make a difference, no matter how you look.
I have so many surgical scars from cancer, herniated discs, nerve problems and vein problems. I was upset about it the other day and my 10 year old son put it into perspective for me. He said, ';Don't worry, Mom, just tell people you got into a samarai fight!';. It made me laugh and realize that he doesn't care how many scars or physical imperfections I have, he still loves me and cherishes me as his mother.
Your biggest scars are internal. I think once you have faced those, your life will be much improved.

You might want to spend some time volunteering for a cause that you feel strongly about. It will get you out of yourself for a while and give you the sense that YOU can make a difference, no matter how you look.

He said, ';Don't worry, Mom, just tell people you got into a samarai fight!';. It made me laugh and realize that he doesn't care how many scars or physical imperfections I have, he still loves me and cherishes me as his mother.
Your biggest scars are internal. I think once you have faced those, your life will be much improved.

Do it beofer you go to bed and leave it on. If you do it in the morning your face will be shiny. And use the natural oil, form a health food store or something along those lines.
I use it all over my face (I suffered from acne) - I put it on before I go to bed and rub it in. It's not an overnight cure but ... Use a buff puff gently on your skin at least once a day- use circular motions and rinse well with warm water. You can use ivory soap with the puff or baking soda or even phisoderm- if they still sell that or oxy clean. It may take 3-5 years- don't laugh - it is gradual but worth the effort. Also drink plenty of water- 8 ounces a day and get exercise and eat fresh fruit and veggies. and last but not least- gently massage your face with your finger tips until you feel warmth- keep the circulation going.

You need a good cleanser and a good moisturizer. Choose a cleanser that doesn't irritate your eyes. If it irritates your eyes, it will also irritate your skin! My dermatologist recommends Cetaphil cleanser %26amp; moisturizer over all the expensive ones. And definitely use the moisturizer! If you strip your skin %26amp; don't moisturize it, it will just produce a lot of oil which will lead to breakouts.
If your skin doesn't improve with a good cleanser %26amp; moisturizer, see a dermatologist. Lots of people will give you ideas here but their skin most likely isn't the same as yours. What works for them may not work for you %26amp; you'll just end up wasting a lot of money on products that don't work. I have very bad acne scars from when I was younger I have recently began using Loreal Refinish Gentle Micro Demabrasion Exfoliator %26amp; Post Treatment Protective Moisturizer. It has really helped remove the layer of skin with the scars...I have noticed a difference. As far as something to apply on the blemishes I use Retina-A which is prescription only. But I don't like to use that very often because it is very drying. So I will also use Avon True Pore-fection blemish treatment.
try the queen helene mint julep masque its really cheap and it worked wonders on my skin especially blackheads! i havent found a very good cleanser, one that gets rid of ALL of my skin problems so i just alternate between my cetaphil gentle cleanser majig and this clean and clear soft steam mask that i use to exfoliate and relax!
Use Neutrogena's Micro Bead line of salicylic products such as the cleanser and toner. They really help with the problems you are describing. My skin has stopped breaking out, and I do not get large pores and blackheads like I use to. The products also do not over clean your skin.
I used tea tree oil facial wash from the body shop, quite expensive for a facial was but its worth it. From the first use my skin was soft and felt fresh, I don't get spots anymore :)

Try not to touch your face...it's a hard habit to break but dirt, oil, and germs will get into your face and block your pores.
A common myth is that if you have oily skin, you should not moisturize it. This is wrong. If you have oily skin, you need to moisturize it, because if you do not, your skin will produce more oil to compensate. Try a good oil-free moisturizer, or Enzymion (from Lush). This is fast-acting and the fruit enzymes in it break down oil on the skin's surface- no more shiny noses!
Biore and Clean %26amp; Clear are good products. Try Clean %26amp; Clear Black head scrub and Biore nose strips.
When you use a nose strip wet your nose with a clean face cloth and then dry your hands.
After that open the packet that the nose strip is in, and rip the little tabs for a better fit on your nose.
Put the sticky side on your nose and wait for around 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, the nose strip should be hard papier mache. Remove it.
Another option is using a black head removing tool. These are available at Sephora for 16 dollars. You need to steam your face first, and make sure that the tool is FREE OF GERMS AND BACTERIA.
Exfoliating with a facial scrub is a great way to get rid of blackheads. Don't use it if you have bad acne, as it will rub off the top part of the acne and will spread to other parts of your face, which means more acne to deal with.

Procedure: Dermabrasion (not to be confused with microdermabrasion) is a process where the top-most layer of skin is removed mechanically. The skin to be treated is first numbed, and then a rotating abrasive disk is used to ‘sand’ off the top-most layer of skin. This is a painful procedure and does require some down time. Many people who have tried this approach have found that it provides only short-term results, and that the scars do grow back over time.
Laser Resurfacing
Cost: $2500+ per treatment.
Procedure: This is very similar to dermabrasion in that it involves physically removing the upper-most layer of skin to achieve a smoother effect – but instead of abrasive disks or pads, lasers are used. This is very expensive and the results appear to be very similar to those reported by people who have undergone dermabrasion – the scars can return.

Acne Scar Creams
There is certainly no shortage of creams and balms that claim to cure everything from impotence to scarring, but do they work? Most of the reports we have found say “no”, however there are always a few who claim success with these methods, so here is a list of the ones we have found that have had at least one reported success story associated with them (and we only found two!).
Creams containing cocoa butter and vitamin E help keep your skin soft, elastic and healthy. Regular use of such creams may help scars diminish naturally over time. We would recommend combining this with an overall healthy lifestyle.
Apply a 3x solution of medical-grade hydrofluoric acid (or a product which contains it) to the scarred area twice daily for one to two weeks. Do this ONLY under the supervision of your dermatologist because this CAN damage your skin.
Balck headsIt can be easier to prevent blackheads than it is to get rid of them. Instead of trying a blackhead home remedy, consider these simple steps for clear and healthy skin:
Wash face daily with a mild cleanser and warm water. Be gentle. Don't use bar soap on the face because it can clog pores.
Gentle exfoliants can be used to remove excess skin cells so they don't clog up pores. This can also be a good blackhead home remedy if you do get blackheads.
Don't use make-up on skin that is prone to blackheads. If you do use make-up, use a hypo-allergenic brand.
Avoid oily foods. Instead, eat foods high in beta-carotene, like carrots, cantaloupe, and other yellow-orange fruits and veggies.
If you have blackheads, don't pick at or squeeze them. That is not a good way of how to get rid of blackheads. It will cause more inflammation in the area and just make matters worse.

I used the blackhead strips.
They dont work.
But if the scars are really bad, go to a dermatologist.
Other than that, some at home facials really work.
And washing your face everyday will help to.
