Take the fresh juice of lemon and dip some cotton wool in it. Pat your face with the cotton and let it dry. Some people may find the lemon juice irritating. In that case, you can dilute it in some water or rose-water. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes and wash your face with water after that. Do this at least four times a week and you will find considerable change.

Lemon will temporarily lighten skin because it's acidic. It will remove the top most layers of dead skin, revealing the newer skin underneath- which will simply darken again on exposure to air. Lemon juice will also chemically burn your skin, and it will not have any effect on pigmentation. Hyperpigmentation happens sometimes in old wound sites like pimples and bug bites, and it either fades on it's own over time or doesn't. Pigment is part of you, so there's not really a lot you can do to change that. A dermatologist can sometimes use laser therapy, but not always. You would be better off not to use lemon juice on your skin. You would do better to simply use a soap or facial scrub that contains ';bits'; to buff off the dead skin layer and temporarily brighten the skin. A chemical burn from the acid of the juice could leave you with a bright red, puffy face, and even more scarring. Acid is acid, whether it came from a lemon or a bottle in the lab, enough of it will still damage skin.
I think youre better off biting the bullet and going into a health shop or even a cosmetic shop and getting a cream specifically for lightening skin rather than usuing crude lemons which are probably going to stuff up the ph balance of your skin. Rose hip oil is very good for scarring, and Miessence do a probiotic gel that is for lightening the skin with 100% natural ingredients.
