Can benzoyl peroxide dry out acne scars?

I am sorry but benzoyl peroxide will not do a thing for acne scars. There is a good chance that you are young so it is a good chance that your acne scars are newer and that you can do more for them than I could for mine. I waited until I was 25 to go on accutane so I got a bit of scars. I can barley see my scars anymore but that is because I did a lot of professional peels and since I'm an esthetician I have gotten my hand on a bunch of really great products. Anyways,





If you have the type of scar that has left a pit I am sorry but nothing you do will help unless you go to a professional and get a laser peel.


If you have the type of scar that is red and irritated looking then your in luck because you can help those, the color will lesson and you will start looking better, also if it a discoloration left over from a pimple you can help those too!!!


Over my years I have tried numerous things beside the accutane and peels and I'll tell you the number one thing that helped my acne scars. You may feel hesitant to try it because you will be scared that it will break you out but it actually doesn't. I would take vitamin e capsules and prick them open and rubbed them all over my face every night and then went to bed. Right away I started to notice a difference.


Since it seems like you like Neutrogena you need to go out and buy their Acne mark fading peel. 1-3 nights per week you will need to do this. Wash your face with a cleanser of your choice , put on your acne fading mark peel and then use the vitamin e capsules. Do this for two weeks and I bet you see a dramatic difference.


The next step is prevention. You need to keep your face from breaking out, do you or your parents have insurance for you? You should try accutane, accutane saved my life!! I haven't had a break out in years and years and years. Don't you go and use hydrogen peroxide. It will not work, it will just irritate your skin and dry it out.

Yes it can, for some people but I think Neutrogena products are very good. For a while I've been using Neutrogena rapid clear cream face wash and it is very good. I struggle with acne myself and this works better than Proactiv (which did nothing for me). The tube last for a really long time because all you need is a tiny dot of the cream and it has a rich lather and makes your face feel clean.





After a couple months I noticed a big change so now I use Neutrogena all the time. And for body ance, they have body wash too, but I usually use the face wash on those parts too. lol. (in addition to my sensitive skin body wash by Dove)
