im using duac in the morning, and differin at night..im wondering if i can still use mederma for some scars i have??? i realy need help please answer honestly :) thanx so much!I need help. im about to buy mederma for my acne scars...?
I am using it now and have noticed a VERY slight difference (after 1 month). But it says it is guaranteed to work, so I kept my receipt. You have to use it for 3 months for new scars and up to 6 months for old scars. So if I do not see a difference in 3 months I am going to send it back. I am trying to fade a big scar between my eyebrows. It says a tube (like $15 at walmart) will last 3 months.

I LOVE Ivory soap; it keeps my skin clear. Also, when you're done with it, you can give the remainder to Clean The World ( http://www.cleantheworld.org ) to help save lives!Does simply ivory soap help with acne/acne scars?

Does sun help acne scars?
I want to cover up some acne scars on me. Does the sun do this?Does sun help acne scars?
I don't think the sun is going to have any positive effects on your skin. It can cause age spots if anything. If your skin is a bit darker it might make your scars appear less noticeable, but it's not going to make them go away. You can get creams for scars that actually do help. I'd try Mederma, you can find it almost anywhere, grocery stores, drug stores. Here is their website

Good Luck!Does sun help acne scars?
no be sure to put on sunblock everday and use moisturizer but the sun will worsen it so wash your skin everyday, put sunblock on
i think sun will actually darken the acne scars because it'll darken the pigment of it.
so does soy sauce (just thought you'd like to know)
Yes. Just don't stay out too long. 5-10 minutes will do the trick.
no not at all but merderma not sure of the spelling works great thats what i use

Cocoa Butter for Acne Scars?
I have these small, but noticeable dark acne scars on my face. Would cocoa butter help lighten/fade them?Cocoa Butter for Acne Scars?
Cocoa butter would most likely clog your pores . . . the best thing to fade dark scars is hyrdroquinone. It is a skin lightening lotion with minimal side effects. You can find it in some over the counter products or you can get it from a dermatologists office. Check if your insurance covers a visit to the derm (could be more cost effective that way). I know it has worked wonders on my skin!sebum

Acne scars and lemons?
I heard that lemons make acne scars fade and lightens ur skin....i was born with light skin, but got really dark over the years...a huge reason is because of acne scars ....how long do i have to leave the lemon on my skin and it will it be more effective if i dd something with the lemon?Acne scars and lemons?
rod !
Take the fresh juice of lemon and dip some cotton wool in it. Pat your face with the cotton and let it dry. Some people may find the lemon juice irritating. In that case, you can dilute it in some water or rose-water. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes and wash your face with water after that. Do this at least four times a week and you will find considerable change.

Lemon will temporarily lighten skin because it's acidic. It will remove the top most layers of dead skin, revealing the newer skin underneath- which will simply darken again on exposure to air. Lemon juice will also chemically burn your skin, and it will not have any effect on pigmentation. Hyperpigmentation happens sometimes in old wound sites like pimples and bug bites, and it either fades on it's own over time or doesn't. Pigment is part of you, so there's not really a lot you can do to change that. A dermatologist can sometimes use laser therapy, but not always. You would be better off not to use lemon juice on your skin. You would do better to simply use a soap or facial scrub that contains ';bits'; to buff off the dead skin layer and temporarily brighten the skin. A chemical burn from the acid of the juice could leave you with a bright red, puffy face, and even more scarring. Acid is acid, whether it came from a lemon or a bottle in the lab, enough of it will still damage skin.
I think youre better off biting the bullet and going into a health shop or even a cosmetic shop and getting a cream specifically for lightening skin rather than usuing crude lemons which are probably going to stuff up the ph balance of your skin. Rose hip oil is very good for scarring, and Miessence do a probiotic gel that is for lightening the skin with 100% natural ingredients.

Acne scars/at home remedies?
I don't have any acne on my face, just a lot of scars and dark spots on my cheeks, a little on my forehead, and on my chin. Can i use facial HAIR bleach to bleach those spots?
If not, is there an at-home remedy i can use or make to fix this?
Thanks(:
Acne scars/at home remedies?
I'm not sure about the bleach, but I do have an antidote for your dark spots and scars...There's a product called scar zone that works miracles. It's no home remedy but it really works. Use it in the morning and at bedtime, you should start noticing the disappearance within a week. GOOD LUCK!!!
Acne scars/at home remedies?
aloe vera, the plant. it works a miracle!

Acne Scarring Products - How to Get Rid of Acne Scars - See Below for the best in acne scar removal and pock mark removal. This family of products works gently to help remove and soften scars, returning you to baby smooth, soft and scar-free skin.
I lived with acne for years, since the age of 14, all the way up until I became a full blown adult - with acne. I’m 31 years old now, and am just now getting rid of the last of the acne scars (ie pitting, scrapes, and depressions), left on my skin as historical war wounds of my lifelong struggle with acne prone skin.
Acne was the bain of my existence, and even into adulthood, while I thought I could enjoy acne free skin, and my skin has cleared considerably, there were still those pesky acne scars, mostly visible in sunlight - actually painfully visible in sunlight.
They stuck out like a sore thumb to me, and although through my own regimen and using some of the products mentioned below, I have managed to get rid of most of my acne scars, I’m still finding new and better methods to utilize these products to really get rid of these traces of scars.
Here are my recommendations for acne scarring reduction. They’re all natural and you can use them at home..
Fading and Softening Treatment , Microdermabrasion Complex, and Exfoliating Complex and Serum
Did you ever see a person with great skin, except they have some scarring left over from earlier acne problems? It is kind of like throwing paint at a Picasso painting really. It can really make or break a person’s look. Skin is everything! It signifies health, radiance and youth, and is a very important part of today’s modern beauty ideal. Beautiful skin is hard to come by, and so is one of the most coveted beauty ideals in the world today.
The products I mentioned above will help you to get back the skin of your younger years, before you ever struggled with acne. They will scrub and smooth away old acne scarring and pititng and are also specially formulated to even out your skin tone, meaning less redness and discoloration where you see the scars.
The good thing is, there are several home-administered acne scarring repair kits and individual products that will “sand down” so to speak, your skin, and smooth out any traces of bumpiness, unevenness and pitting in your skin so most people won’t even recognize that you at one time had an acne problem.
Not only will they smooth the bumps in the road, but they also help fade any leftover redness often times, and discoloration left behind.
The added bonus is that they help you in the anti aging process. Since they actually speed up skin cell renewal and turnover, as well as reveal a fresh layer of healthy, new skin your face will appear younger and more vibrant instead of dull and colorless.
I definitely noticed a difference in the overall appearance of my skin after using them, and even received MANY compliments on my skin while using them. They will become a staple in my bathroom cupboard, for sure!Pock marks and acne scars?
