i was wondering if there is anything at all, that makes them fade at least a little bit. My scars are very embarrassing, i get self-consious sometimes. Is there anything you have tried and worked?

Actually the best thing you can do if your problem is serious is to see your doctor, or skin specialist.. a dermatologist ..there is laser resurfacing and dermabrasion that will take off all those scars but it takes like 10 days to heal .. afterwards your skin and you will look and feel much better ,, you can always call d ask questions about the fees %26amp;the applications , also if it is covered under insurance etc Good luckI have alot of acne scars and.....?
try buying an expensive moisturizer, dont scratch ur acne because that can cause scars, i would reccomend foundation but using that only causes more spots, if you have some scars u are really self-consious about, use a concealer, not excessively but just to hide some deep scars. acne is only natural, especially if ur parents suffer from it, thats where u get it from, blame them! :) and just to let u know, if u visit a doctor, they do usually provide u with acne cream or general antibiotics to prevent more acne

They should fade a little bit over time. Other than that I don't think there's anything you can do to make them better unless you want to cover them with some makeup.

There is a wonderful skin lightening agent called Topiclear Number One. It will take about 6 months to see the results, but it is probably one of the cheapest ways to go. Other than that, you can always go for microdermabrasion at a dermatologist (this could be costly).
If the scars aren't too bad - they will fade away on their own. Check with a dermatologists - you probably get better advice there and they can analyze your skin

THIS WORKS FAST %26amp; CHEAP!!!

I used Tetracyclin, Proactive, Retina A and had many expensive facials with less than good results.

This has worked for me and many many other happy people.

Go to pharm.,Drug store, or Walmart, buy ';PURPOSE'; bar of soap - Blue box - Made by Johnson %26amp; Johnson - wash your face with this

2-3x's per day. Also pick up a LOW strength Benzoyl-peroxide cream, apply the cream by dabbing

to the individual blemishes.... DONT rub it in works using a oxidation/reduction reaction..It will unclog

dry it out and bring it to a head...DONT over use this or put anywhere else on your face. It will cause drying and make you look worse.

Salicylates such as found in regular asprin among other products work very similar but also remove layers of skin...

other over the counter creams with this product will dry out pimples but maybe too hash and cause surrounding skin trauma..

I have seen many people recommending crushing asprin and making a paste which probably will dry out the blemish but again

pretty strong and probably will cause more tissue damage and bigger scars as an anti inflammatory

probably would take the reddness out... again pretty harsh for sensative skin.

Also, If need which probably will for moisture ASK FOR ';NUTRADERM lotion'; - the orginal not the new stuff, this works

great and wont clog pores or leave a residue on your skin...Any lotion that is completely oil free and hypoallergic should

work but again I recommend Nutraderm. I have heard from people online that ';Purpose'; also makes a lotion that is good, Nutragena, and Nivea

make good products also. I recommend Nutraderm from experience and my dematologist.

';Purpose Bar'; %26amp; ';Nutraderm'; are oil free and hypoallergic they contain no perfumes and are great for both men and women.

I have also heard great reports of this soap helping improve skin tone. Some people recommend the ';Purpose luqid soap'; saying

that the bar did dry out their skin some. The rational behind using the bar is that there are no ingredients in it that will clog pores, and

according to dermatologists they recommend the Bar. I have also heard good responses from ';cetaphil soap';. These products are safe for all skin colors and tones. I highly discourage use

You have other problems too. You are constipated, Eyes twitch , blister in mouth or sore throat, quite often catch bad cold etc.

The remedy lies in changing your heating habits. Leave all the dead foods, canned foods or pulses/cereals.change over to fresh fruits and vegetables whether raw or half cooked.

With this you wud find bowls clear up fast and you wud start recovery very soon. If you could add up exercise and or walk up to 4 kms it wud be an added advantage.

Hey Im 15 and i have acne. yes, and i hate it. But im more worried about the scars it leaves behind. my brother is now 18 and he also had acne, even though he popped his pimples, he doesnt seem to have any scars, pox, dents etc. When i look at my face, i can see the dents and the scars. Don't have much $. I suggest you get an oxy wash.

First I'd take a very warm wash cloth (clean) and heat it in the micro for a few seconds. Place it on your face. Repeat.

Wash with oxy and put some peroxide on your areas. Follow with an acne cream. REPEAT at night (not the wash cloth part) Find a good toner - too - (I am not sure what CVS or a drug store has).

The ones with broken up fruit seeds like St. Ives Apricot scrub will irritate and cut delicate facial skin. Your best bet would be to visit a dermatologist and get a prescription strength brightening cream. If this isn't possible, I recommend light exfoliation and pure Vitamin E which you can buy at any drugstore. Don't exfoliate too vigorously! no, I have tried buying those products, and to be honest, it was just a waste. I would suggest using a wash with buffing beads, to remove the dead skin, and eventually [it will take awhile] your skin will be much better.

the home remedy i've found that works the quickest and with great results is egg yolk. spread across the acne scars and leave on until they dry [about 15-20 min]. then wash off. for best results, apply 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks. after one week, you should see significant results. even after one day youll see results. i saw more results using egg yolk in reducing redness than when using aloe vera.

I had awful nodular acne for a while a little less than a year ago. The worse part was right along my jaw line, where you couldnt even notice a single pimple, it was just one on top of the other that never went away. I honestly never wanted to leave the house.

I finally had to take accutane and my acne is gone, but now of course i have scars. I dont really have pock mark scars, but redness and raised scars. I know that scars fade over time but I have these raised scars along my jaw line that i dont see ever completely fading away! Theyre definately obvious and i cant just hide them with makeup because even though their the same color as my skin, there raised up a lot.

I am unbeleivably grateful that my acne is gone, but I want to help get rid of these raised scars. Ive tried microderm and peels, doesnt really do anything. Im not looking for an immediate fix, but something that will at least speed the process along a little? Apply Contractubex. Its an ointment for scars. It usually is prescibed for hypertrophic and keloidal scars but it would also work for small scars. exfoliating masks wont do it. The best option is a chemical peel. Talk to a dermatologist about it. But make sure you get a good one. There are some really harsh chemicals involved in chemical peels so you need a good dermatologist if you dont want anything to go wrong. Best bet is to ask your primary care providor for a refferal.
i had that to but they usaully go away naturally . if you want you can use scrubs that repair and mositurize the skin that always helps

Any kind of oil will just cause more acne. Meaning it might heal the scars, but you'll just end up with more acne, starting the cycle all over again.

Lemon juice is way too acidic. It will throw off the pH of your skin, which will cause more acne to form.

Assuming that they're just red marks, they will fade with time. But if they are indented scars, those will only improve with regular exfoliation.Bio oil VS. Lemon juice for acne scars???
I'd just like to say that part of this is false. Not EVERY kind of oil will cause more acne. Most, but not all. Take jojoba for example. okay simple and sweet (literally) ...mix honey and lemon juice to gather and apply as a mask for a few days try to keep it on for 3 hours/day and wash it off with warm water then put it on again....the mask should be thick
For acne scars and blemishes my wife lighten them up using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'

I've had some acne scars for a bit. I've been using cocoa butter lotion for a month or two. Most cleared up just fine, but there's some on my cheek %26amp; lip that has not really faded. The one on my lip almost seems darker than it was before I started using cocoa butter lotion. Why is this %26amp; is there any other products I could use to get rid of the rest of my acne scars? if it helps, the one on my lip is almost 2 years old, the rest are a few months.Why won't my acne scars fade???
Because some scars are deeper and more severe than others. Many take time to fade and if you don't protect them from the sun...they will darken.

Try using some vitamin C serum, find a type that agrees with your skin and use it under your moisturizer. It lessens the scars (for me) and keeps new acne bumps from forming. But find the right skin serum with C for you otherwise you may break out. You don't have to buy a super expensive one either. Avalon and Jason C make some and drugstore.com has a big selection. Once you find one that works for you...research the best site to buy it from to save money.Why won't my acne scars fade???
Some take longer than others to fade. But don't worry- they all eventually will!

I don't know, does your breath smell or do you have rank body odor? Maybe you are ugly or stupid, or both. You might wish to ask Mel Gibson or Brad Pitt as they both have had some bad scarring. If that is the worst of your concerns in life, at your age, you are better off than most. Well,to be honest the best cure are products that have beta hydroxy...But lemon juice can help!(ice cubes are great to unblock pores,they don't do anything to the scars though).YES lemon juice dries your face alot UNLESS you leave it on for 20-25minutes(NOT more),your face should feel tingly after a few minutes,but that's good,DON'T touch your face(don't apply it with your hands,apply it directly from a lemon half).after that,cleanse your face(don't clean it more than 2times daily though)and apply a moisturiser(I hope you have the special oily skin ones,they're not greasy),that will not increase the sebum oil as your skin will already be moisturised,When you go out always apply sunscreen,it fastens the lightening process(sun makes it a lot slower).Do this for a month and don't give up after a few days,results should only be seen after a month or so,then you can continue to make them completely dissapear.but never forget to moisturise and protect your skin from the sun!

it's called esoterica and there's no harmful ingredients. However if you want a natural way then yogurt and lemon with tumeric can helped you, and the lemon should be very diluted due to the yogurt.

You can also try Tea Tree Oil. I know what you're thinking, oil will make things worse but you can google it. it doesn't clog your pores and has been around for quite some time, kinda like tumeric powder.

well i dont get any acne, but most of my friends do and i want to be a dermatologist when i grow up so ok here it goes.

1. wash your face twice a day, once in the morning and before you go to bed.

2. check what shampoo you use because some shampoos can make you break out.

3. wash your face with COLD water not hot because pimples like hot water and hot water makes the oil in your face more moist and it grows which causes inflammation.

4. if you have acne scars get some type of cream with vitamin E in it, it really does work and it makes the scars smoother if you have bad and deep scars but if you have mild scars it makes them go away really fast.

5. every night slice up a few cucumbers and put them on the places where you have acne for about 10-15 minutes

6. peel off masks help a lot, they peel the dead skin cells which is really good because it gives you soft skin and it peels away the dirty skin so use a skin peel mask at least twice a week.

7. drink A LOT OF WATER and keep your diet healthy,like eating a lot of fruits and vegetables.

8. do not pop your pimples or pick them because that will give you even more acne scars which are even worse than pimples

9. you can wear make up just make sure its clean and organic make up so it wont clog your pores

10. dont stress out about your situation because that can just make it worse.

well i have kinda thing that might help. i use it 2 or 3 times a week it works when you have zits. okaii

first get a apple and cut the out side and cut it into small pieces and try mash it as much as you can and you should put the pieces into a blow and take the core out. take a hand full of apple pieces and squeeze it on the other hand thats shape as a cup and take the juice and put it on your face leave it on tell a few min i do it for 2 or 3 mins and rinse with warm water and you can do this two times. and it should give you kinda glow and flawless look. trust me i tryed it and i loved it. and if you don't know what Im talking about. aloe vera after you wash your face with water at night, clearacil works too but is a little harsh. My brother tried proactive and it worked pretty good. I personally use the aloe because it's natural, but my acne is not really bad, maybe you could use proactive or clearacil untill it's under control then switch to aloe? best of luck:)

but i still have red marks from where the bad acne was so i have to cover it up with makeup even though my skin is relatively clear now! this summer, im going to guatemala and wont have time in the morning to put on makeup. i'd love to go makeup free but i cant right now. any suggestions?

You could try acne-free from wal-mart its a lot cheaper than proactiv. Its supposed to contain the same ingrediants but work better. They also carry scar fading kits, so you could try that also. First off proactive takes at least 1-2 months to take full effect like all cleansing products. And they all will cause break-outs because of them bring bacteria to the surface or something like that. I would recommend a microdermabrasion kit if you have acne scars. Not acne but, scars! It again will take a little time but it will lighten the scars and make your skin smoother. I will warn you not to over use the product, use as directed, if you do your skin will become dry and can break out more.

I like the Aveno daily scrub. It's an exfoliant, but not too rough on your skin.

To get rid of scarring with just products, you want to exfoliate. Get rid of the bad and dead skin so that new skin can come through. But you have to give it time of course.

This will only do so much. Beyond the soap/exfoliant you use, your best bet is to see a dermatologist. Dermabrasion, laser therapy, chemical therapy, and surgical therapy are some of your options. Laser therapy is a lot cheaper than it used to be...I think most places, for acne scars, would use Dermabrasion or laser therapy.

I am going to school for Aesthetics (skin care) and we recommend: Microdermabrasion ( you will need several treatments) which you could have done at a local spa or even a dermatologist office, or even a local Aesthetics school if you have on in the area. You can get services performed by supervised students for a cheaper rate. Or you can also try chemical peels, there are different types you can have done from very superficial to deep peels depending upon the scarring.

I would suggest seeing an Esthetician first or a Dermatologist.

I don't know of any pills or vitamins but I know of a product that gives results for acne scars.

I always use Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel. When I have scars, I use the product on my scars everyday. I usually see results on my scars within a week, but it always depends on how bad the scars are.

There's a product that I've only found through Avon. It's pure vitamin C. It's worth every bit of the effort you put into finding it.

the most important thing in getting rid of scars is keeping them out of sunlight. when you go outside, always put on facial sunscreen. you also need to moisturize. i know it seems girly but im so serious. i fell into a pool and had to get 5 stitches in my face, owe, it left a really bad scar i was devastated, im a girl and we do tend to get carried away with that kind of stuff sometime. i went to my local CVS pharmacy and bought this stuff called SCAR ZONE with green tea. i paid like 15 bucks for it and it worked great. i noticed a rapid change in the appearence of my scar. and that scar zone stuff has sunscreen in it to. i applied it about 3 or 4 times a day. i fell in the pool in the begining of the summer and now my scar is almost compleatyl gone, and the impact to my face almost busted it compleatly through my entire cheek. it works you have got to get some. my little sis has bad stretch marks on her legs and uses bio oil didnt work too great gave her my scar zone stuff and they going away much faster now. and if all else fails, talk to your doctor or go to a specialist and stay out of the sun if you dont have sunscreen on.

Wen u get up use raw milk to clean up your face with cotton. This a good natural cleanser than those harsh chemical cleansers. then use the mixture of this-

Jaifal, kapur-kachli, haldi, chandan.

Use this scrub daily mix multani miti separately when u use. This then use a good face wash.

Use lakme pure defense. Its awesome. do take steam when u feel dirty about your face. Then use cotton to wipe.

After steam do apply scrub or any natural face pack like neem face powder after that. Use cucumber for coolness. Use potatoe slice to lighten the complexion.

Do drink lot of water. Keep ur system clean. Use Zap and Clear tube for pimples. It works faster than other creams. This is what worked for me after trying so...many things.

Microdermabrasion works wonderfully on acne scars, I had pretty bad scars to, after 6 treatments they were hardly noticeable, they are pricey too, do not get them done at the dermatologist, they are very expensive there, go to a spa or hair salon, much more reasonable rates, I paid $125 per treatment, if I had 2 or 3 more I bet they would disappear altogether. They are scars though I don't suppose it would be wrong to call them marks, but good news. They will fade away. It usually takes 3-9 months, but they will get lighter and lighter until you won't notice them anymore.

How old are you? I didn't have the worst acne in the world when I was younger, but it was fairly bad. If you're under 20, just keep your face clean and maybe apply lotion or an astringent every other day. That should make your face look better. Cocoa butter is supposed to help with that too, but I find that it's too greasy to be applied often (it needs to be washed off too, or else you'll look shiny). If you still have acne, leave your hands off your face unless you're washing it or something. I still have some small scars, but they're not very pronounced. They may not be scars, acne marks and ance scars are very different. We've learned alot in just a few years about how different these two things can be delt with. Alot of great OTC (over the counter) products are available now.

I used Neutragena Acne Mark Facial Peel on just the parts of my cheeks where I had the marks and I was amazed at the results after just one use! I'm barely have marks now after 4-6weeks of continued use. I also use a great Uciren Redness Releif night cream that takes away ALL redness instantly and over time permantly.

I started to wear tank tops at home to give my back some fresh air, and this really helped.

Vitamin E won't bring the acne back but the carrier oil MAY clog pores.

For your acne what you can do is try home remedies they're great.

One of my favorite remedies is the baking soda mask.

Just has 2 ingredients: baking soda and water.

The best way to get rid of acne scars is by making sure to prevent more acne and then exfoliating. When you exfoliate you are sloughing off the dead skin cells around each scar and in time you will see them fade. I recommend making sure to use a light moisturizer for combination to oily skin that has sunscreen in it to prevent darkening of the skin surrounding the acne scar. There are many products that help fade acne scars, personally I have tried Mederma and it caused acne for me on my face because it was slightly oily and similar in texture to a petroleum jelly substance. I highly recommend products that have a small amount of salicylic acid in the ingredients because it exfoliates. You can also try using a microdermabrasion product once a week. I use Avon's Micro-Exfoliant and it leaves my skin looking brighter and feeling softer.

I have my senior pictures in 4 days and I have acne scars on my cheeks, their jus scars it鈥檚 not like acne right now. Also on my chin I have sum dark scars small ones. Hi, the only way for the acne scars to go away is by chemical peeling. Soap and water won't do it, and definitely not lemon juice. Filipinos have this notion that since lemon bleaches, it can do the same thing to the skin.

Lemon does bleach clothes. But it is too acidic for the skin, especially the facial skin which is extra sensitive. And since you cannot regulate the amount of acid in the lemon, you can burn the skin instead of whitening it.

If the scar is not too deep, just be patient and wait for your skin to heal itself.

I've got acne, too and to tell you the truth I scratch at them, too. My friend's mom, who is very Filipino says lemon juice works to help clear your acne.

It really depends on the level of scarring. For mild acne scars vitamin E oil may helped when rubbed on the area, but it will take continuous application over a period of time. For cystic scars or a larger area I would recommend you visit a good dermatologist or esthetician who can find procdeures and products that will fix your skin. Be careful when dealing with scars though, you don't want to put something on your face that could damage them more!!

Okay, so after 4 days of using it (yes, 4 days) it has smoothen out the pimples and left dark spots. My face is practically clear now and no I'm not endorsing it.

I think you will need to see a dermatoligist or ask your MD. Those are deep in the epidermes and proactive won't do it.

Well unlike the poster above, I've had great success with Obagi. I can't say it will take the scars away, but will give you much better skin elasticity and smoother skin. I've had laser too and I can't say it helped my scars either. Cosmetic surgeons would lead you to believe laser and peels are the answer, but the truth is if your scars are as deep as the subcutaneous tissue, no amount of peeling or lasers will reduce them. Another option is something known as subcutaneous incision (subcision). This is where the surgeon/doctor uses a sharp instrument under the skin, to break up and release the scar tissue and then new collagen will raise the scar to the surface. too much exfoliation can actually cause you to have more acne. you shouldn't exfoliate more than once a week with a mild scrub. if you are looking to lighten scars, you need something with Hydroquinone. like the one attached from murad. the product is crazy expensive, but you don't use a lot on a daily basis, is sort of slow to work, but helped me a lot.

Use apple cider vinegar as a toner! It did WONDERS for fading my acne marks! Just regular apple cider vinegar diluted a little bit with water everyday, it really helped to fade my marks.

No, buddy never used it. What i've been using Now and is really effective is by Neutrogena: Advanced Solutions, Acne Mark Fading Peel. I'm no expert here, but from the reading I've done, most colored acne scars fade away over the course of a year or two. It's the intendation scars that stick around forever.

Those go away by time. You should not use stuff that harms your skin like bleach and those acne scar removal creams that peel the top layer of the skin off. Depending on the person, acne hyperpigmentation may take a few years to go away. My dermatologist gave me this stuff called MD Forte that works pretty good, pills for my acne,Tazorac Cream and Bleach for the scars. The bleach makes me look so white though its crazy I used to have a nice tan but now I'm so pale. but the scarring is down!

I suffered and still have breakouts of acne.I have not too horrible,but enough frustrating me and impeding my life scars,caused by acne.I've passed through hell of procedures in beauty saloons,I've made one Green peel,chemical seems don't work out..Used Zeraderm(scar removal gel,based on sylicons)..no effect at all.Finally,I turned to a plastic surgeon,I undergone such painful surgical removal of some of the more deep cycatric sacr tissue in order to be prepared for Dermabrasio..but now I can't because it's summer,I can't afford it asap and still occyerd infections on my face!! Please,if someone has obtained some results using some other remedies,creams,whatever..Thanks in advance!!I seek for options of removing or reducing my acne scars..Please,read what I've gone through..Advices?
